Christmas Projects - Christmas Crafts for all Ages

Glitter Popsicle Stick or Craft Stick Snowflake Ornaments

When the light shines on these ornaments, they sparkle so pretty and the glass nuggets give them an extra touch of elegance. This project is easy so that even school-aged kids can make them, too. Some adult assistance may be needed when drilling the hole to hang the sticks.

Popsicle Stick Snowflake

Time required for one Snowflake: about 20 minutes (plus drying time for the nuggets)

Difficulty Level: Easy

Material List for one Snowflake:

- three popsicle sticks
- glittery paper
- craft glue
- gemstone glue
- 7 glass nuggets
- drill with small bit for drilling hole in the stick
- silver colored yarn or twine for hanging

Craft Stick Snowflake Tutorial 1
1. First glue the sticks to the backside of the paper and let the glue dry.

Craft Stick Snowflake Tutorial 2
2. Then cut on the backside of the paper and follow the shape of the stick while cutting.

3. Then glue the three sticks over each other in a snowflake shape.

4. Drill a hole at the top of one of the bottom sticks for the string. Then pull the string through and knot.

5. Glue on the 7 glass nuggets (one nugget will also cover the hole and the string is underneath it) and let the glue dry before using.
