”Felted Christmas Tree Decoration”

By felting a styrofoam cone using this technique How to Felt on Styrofoam, you can create this simple yet pretty Christmas tree to add to your holiday decorations.

Material List for Tree 1:

- styorfoam cone
- green felting wool
- felting needles in different sizes
- beading wire
- beads in color of choice

Material List for Tree 2:

- styorfoam cone
- green felting wool
- felting needles in different sizes
- colorful beads
- hot glue gun
- thin white garland

 

Instructions for the first tree:

1. To felt into the styrofoam, follow the instructions in this tutorial >>> How to Felt on Styrofoam
2. Once your tree is complete, bead a wire with your choice of beads. Poke one end of the wire into the top of the cone and start to spiral the wire around the tree until you reach the bottom. Poke the second end of the wire to the bottom of the tree to hold in place.

Instructions for the second tree:

1. To felt into the styrofoam, follow the instructions in this tutorial >>> How to Felt on Styrofoam
2. Once your tree is complete, you will first hot glue one end of the garland to the top of the tree. Wrap the garland around the tree a few times until you reach the bottom. Cut remaining garland away and hot glue the second end to the tree.
3. Hot glue the beads randomly onto the tree between the garland.
