Joy Christmas Card

With just a few die cuts and some punched out stars and letters, you will have this card complete within a few minutes. Great for those with minimal time to create personal Christmas cards.

Joy Christmas Card 330

Time required: about 10-20 minutes

Difficulty Level: Easy

Material List:

- square cream colored blank card with matching envelope
- Sizzix Originals Christmas Tree Die
- alphabet punches - J, O and Y
- scrapbook paper with Christmas tree motifs
- textured green cardstock
- red cardstock
- thin red ribbon
- 3-d foam pads
- thin wire
- round corner paper punch
- 1 inch circle punch

Instructions:

1. First, cut your scrapbook paper in a slightly smaller square as your card and round off the corners.
2. Now cut a piece of green textured cardstock smaller than the scrapbook paper square. Set it aside for the moment.
3. Die cut 2 trees - one using the scrapbook paper and the other using the green textured cardstock. Adhere 3-D foam pads to the backside of the patterend paper tree and stick it to the green tree.
4. Punch out red stars and adhere these to the front of the tree. Set tree aside.
5. Punch out each letter onto the red cardstock. Do not punch them too close to the edge as you will still need to punch out the negatives created by the punching within the circle punch afterwards. Now take the circle punch and center over the letter negatives and punch out. Each of the circles will then be attached to the card using pieces of thin wire attached to the top and bottom of each circle. For this you will need to prick a hole in each circle and simultaneously through the green cardstock to line up the holes.
6. Once the circles have been attached, adhere the green cardstock square to the center of the scrapbook paper square. Wrap a ribbon around the top of the square and create a bow over the left top corner.
7. Adhere the squares now centered on the card.
8. Now adhere the tree to the card.
